Initially conceived in 2010, the AHS Grants Program has awarded funds to more than 240 projects totaling over $275,000 during the last 14 years of the program. The AHS is proud to have a grants program that supports our members through new music commissions, educational initiatives, chapter programming, or other endeavors that benefit our community of harpists! Grant recipients have been AHS chapters, individual AHS members, and other non-profit organizations that have affiliations and common goals with the Society.
The American Harp Society Grants Program will take a hiatus for the 2024-2025 fiscal year, and will not accept applications nor grant financial awards. The Grants Program Committee will take this time, while the AHS is focusing on strategic planning, to collect and collate reports and data about our past AHS Grant funded projects. It is our hope that some of this data, such as more information about commissions funded by past grants, will also become searchable and accessible to our members as part of this process.
If you have an update about a past grant award, or if you simply want to tell us that you find the AHS Grants Program to be valuable, please send the grants committee an email!
