A. Legal Counsel
B. Long-Range Study
- To prepare and present to the Board of Directors a document
which reflects the short-term and long-term goals, mission statments
and job description of the AHS Groups and Committees. This document
will be presented for approval by the Board and will reflect the
updated progress and accomplishments of the AHS and its various
Committees. Recommendations for action and priorities may be suggested
at this time. In accordance with EC recommendation, the Long Range
Plan will be presented to the Board of Directors every other year,
the same years as AHS National Conferences are held.
C. Nominating committee
- to receive and tabulate names to be placed in nomination from
the entire membership for election of Regional Director &
Directors-at-Large; to verify availability of persons named; to
work with the Executive Secretary on sending out the Nominations
Requests; to provide brief biographies for the secret ballots,
to be maintained in a file and updated for future use.
D. Presidential
Advisory - to advise the AHS President on any matters
of import to the Society.
E. Rules
- to decide questions of procedure whenever they arise in the
order of business of the Society. This means clarifying points
of procedure at Board and Executive Committee meetings, and reviewing
and updating the Constitution and By-Laws periodically.
F. Secretary
- to assist the President, take minutes of all Board of Directors,
Executive Committee and General Membership meetings, and compile
and maintain a file of AHS Policies
