Congratulations on being awarded Chapter of the Year of the American Harp Society, 2001-2002 season! All the best to Elaine Litster, President, and her merry band of officers and helpers. In November, Stephanie Osbourne moderated a workshop on beginning teaching materials and harp music for any teachers who wanted to share information and music. In December, the 5th Annual Holiday Harp Extravaganza took place at the Westfield Santa Anita Mall in Arcadia. Harpists prepare the music in advance, then bring their own harps, benches, music, etc. for the event and all play together.

March 31, 2003 at 7:30 PM - Ann Stockton: A Career Retrospective at the home of Dorothy Victor.

This is a continuing series in the Los Angeles Chapter which spotlights the careers of prominent area harpists. Past events have featured Gayle Levant, Catherine Gotthoffer, Stanley & Paula Chaloupka.

In November, the Holiday Harp Concert featuring harpist Rebekah Scoggin was presented at the Eastside Library.

December 14, Solvang Nativity Scene with Efrem Zimbalist, Jr. About 15 Santa Barbara Chapter members and students dress as angels and participate in the Nativity scene.
February 2, 2003, St Patrick’s Day music workshop.
March 9, 2003, 2:30 PM – St. Patrick’s Day Concert, Main Library, Santa Barbara
April 5, 2003 – Harp Festival including performances in the Arlington Theater with the Theater Organ Society. There will be 20 harps and all are welcome to join in the fun. Rehearsal in the morning followed by lunch and the performance.
May 4, 2003 – Afternoon Tea Garden Party.
