The first Victor Salvi Foundation Awards will be held June 16-17, 2007 in Chicago, Illinois at Lyon & Healy Hall.
RULES
- The Awards are open to harpists who are citizens of the Americas and who have not passed their 35th birthday by June 1, 2007.
- Participants must be members of the American Harp Society. (See below for membership information)
- Auditions will be open to the public. Contestants will not be interrupted during performance.
- Repertoire must be played from memory.
APPLICATIONS MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY:
- Copy of valid identifi cation
- One teacher recommendation stating that the applicant knows the required repertoire.
- A non-refundable registration fee of US $25 payable to “The Victor Salvi Foundation”.

The Victor Salvi Foundation Awards will determine three (3) Award Winners, each receiving:
- $2,000 in cash to be used to further education
- $500 gift certificate from Lyon & Healy Harps
HARPS
Harps will be available for those participants who are unable to bring their own instrument.
REPERTOIRE
Participants will play each of the following pieces:
- J. de la Presle: Le jardin mouillé (Available at Lyon & Healy West, item #707520-300, $13.50)
- E. Parish Alvars: Introduction and Variations on Themes from Bellini’s Opera “Norma” (Available at Lyon & Healy West, item #700445-600, $10.25)
